OK BB nears its final curtain again and yet again I feel that some of the production decisions have just been plain stupid.


Why did they fill the House with all females at the launch ?

What was the point of the 100k giveaway??This must have been one of the most costly non-events in BB history.

BBBM guest presenters too many trying to promote their own dodgy careers.Pick one presenter and concentrate on talking about BB.

Rules should be taken more seriously, I've seen so many housemates discuss nominations on the Live Feed and none of them have been punished about it, and housemates who are punished are punished in different ways, some lighter than others.

As you said, the editing is awful. People like Kara Louise are being left out of the highlights to fool gullible viewers that she's boring while we see dullards like Brian moping around or Liam making fun of someone else at their expense at least 10 times a show, and these people become the favourites (which is exactly what the producers want).

Most of the tasks and twists are unoriginal and are taken from old ideas, and most of them are crap. Bring in some new people who have new, better ideas, it's obvious that the current producers have nothing more to offer.

This year and last year, some twat has thought it was a good idea to get as many housemates as possible into one series. There's no need for over 20 housemates in one series, all you really need is 12-14 well-selected characters and one or two newcomers wh don't arrive later than the halfway point.

It's a difficult subject.. it's hard to please all viewers watching and keep them entertain fully the whole time.[Bit like a forum]
When you choose a housemate it must be hard to choose.. and maybe on the inside they are not what they seemed via the audition process on the outside.
The rules have been broken a lot as the series has gone on with Big Brother seeming a lot softer.. gone are the days of making your own bread and getting eggs from chickens ... now it's all get what you want. lol. But, they've adapted and as they say Big Brother has the right to change the rules at any time.
Task wise... perhaps a bit more thought could go into tasks.. although some have been funny.. why not open the floor to ideas from the public?
Time wise.. I was annoyed by the constant changing of times but.. feel that was more channel 4's fault than Big Brothers.

[answer]As Deal or no Deal is also an Endemol production, perhaps the cash prizes given out this year were lower than expected? and they decided to double the prize for the winner of Big Brother 8 and instead, give it to one housemate and then assume that the rest of the housemates would get nothing? But it was a waste of a Hundred Grand IMO and was stupid

Emily could have been repremanded in the diary room and given a severe warning, but instead they booted her out which was a crime in itself, then they wanted to name & shame her as a racist. Thanks for the feedback ,i agree with all points.

BB has been inconsistant this year as an influence on the HM's.Nominations being talked about has gone unpunished.Tho maybe by talking about them a lot a bit of good will come there way ,the way it did for Charlie.

A lot of inconsistancies around what is acceptable behaviour has also annoyed me.We all had to witness 'big bad 'Charlie getting a warning for her comment on Gerry and 15 year old boys ,yet nothing was said to 'Good ol'Liam about his hinting that Amy and the twins were probably having oral sex at the age of 12.Why they had to show this and his admission of losing his virginity at 12 baffles me.Some role model.

Also maybe an explanation that the N word was offensive whe said by ANYONE might have been a better balance.

The halfway HMs not only did'nt work , but also made for two very boring eviction fridays.Surely the last thing the producers wanted.

I'm not a fan of 'chummy bb' in the DR either.BB needs to be truer to its original format.

Get twelve HM's , from a truly mixed background ,reflecting society ,have a couple on standby for walkouts.Be firm with the HMs and add some original twists.The rest will follow.

I just think it has moved so far away from what it started life as. BB was renowned for being harsh to the HM's and making them earn their time and place in the house. Now though, if they cry in the diary room, they get cigarettes, if they mope about they get booze.

It used to be the cardinal sin of BB to discuss nominations, yet now they just chat away about them because they know there are no real consequences, or if there are they are generally in favour of one person who the producers think are worth hanging onto just that little bit longer.

I still love BB but would like to see it go back to basics a little. The tasks used to be really hard work, now they are easier, get them back to the poor/rich type of situation.

I think in an attempt to be far to PC the producers are getting it more and more wrong with BB.

That's why I can't understand why anyone would want him to win. He's gained pretty much anything you can gain from Big Brother - he's Ł100,000 richer and the nation knows his name, not to mention the various offers he'll probably receive when he's out. What would be the point in him winning?

200K is better than 100K, also Winning is a great confidence booster and what he would acheive from winning could only do him more good than bad. However, I would prefer the Twins, as they haven't had Liam's luck + I am a fan. But Liam would be a close fave for me

Yeah, I suppose it would do him more good than bad but I would also prefer for the twins to win, they probably don't need the confidence boost but at least two of the most likeable housemates (or 3, really) would have loadsa cash. Also, cool avatar, she's wicked.

To attract more male viewers to a show watched predominantly by females?

To have a fascinating new way of starting out the show, unlike any other series?

To give the girl contestants a chance over the male contestants, seeing as the female audience generally tend to pick the boy they fancy most from the start and vote him to win, regardless of what he does in the house (see Anthony, Pete)

It's amazing how people try to make out this twist had no effect, just because there was no obvious evidence.

Personally, I wouldn't watch on a Saturday anyway, live task or not, so this doesn't effect me.

On the whole I think it's good the show isn't on every night of the week. It gives the addicts more of a chance to get their life together.

Here. Here. I would agree with most of that. The only exception for me would be the rich/poor divide. Ok for a short duration but gets boring and predicatble if it goes on to long. Plus the bars dividing the house just did not work for me.....

I would like to see the evictions getting back to basics also. Housemates being greeted by their friends and family before the Davina interview. Always nice to see happy faces before an interview that should be more in depth than they are at present. Davina wastes far to much time asking the evictee what they think of each housemate in turn.

Also the crowd reaction needs to be curbed (Filter out the rent a mob brigade)as at present the degree of booing is nothing short of abuse to some of the evicted housemates. (Well byond so called pantomime booing)....Not happy viewing at all as far as I am concerned
