I know this is probably an old tired out subject but Nikki is so entertaining why did she

a) Get evicted 7th

b) Come 5th in the final (thats the same position Carole came in and Nikki only got 1.5% more than her ).

Where was her great fanbase? They can say well Nikki is loved by so many people but also hated by alot of people.

But if you say this where were all the people who love her at the final - this was a vote to evict. The people with hatred for her were no objective now.

So really, Nikki isn't that popular is she?

I do agree, there is nothing to proove that she's more popular than somebody else. Of course she has an award, a tv show, and some magazines column but it doesn't mean that she has more fans than the others.

She didn't have a bigger fanbase. I'm sorry but thats pathetic. If she did she would have gotten further! DUH!

Anyway the whole "If it had been a vote to save" excuse is a load of rubbish! It wasn't and since it was a vote against every housemate bar one she got evicted in I suspect it would have been quite easy for Nikki's massive fanbase to have voted out Aisleyne as Aisleyne was 2nd favourite to go. bUT actually it wasn't easy as Nikki got 37.2% of the vote out of 11 housemates!

Plus Glyn had most of Wales backing him!

Nikki is a love/hate character. When the public had the chance they evicted her. Also, she was 2nd fave to win a big threat to Pete's prize at that time. She was the victim of BB's twist that week. BB knew she would go and it made for good ratings. Why did she finish 5th? Any housemate who returned in such a controversial twist was going to be that weeks "villain", also because she was very dramatic before it was a sure thing that people were going to jump on the "she's acting up" bandwagon. Also a lot of people didn't fall for the Pekki relationship, I did at the time, I'm sorry I did but I think it was lead on by Pete.

Fact is Nikki is the star of BB7, and the biggest star to come out of BB since Nadia in 2004, although now Nadia has sunk back into obscurity.

As far as finishing positions go, Nikki didn't do remarkably - but with the increasing amount of housemates in recent years, fifth is a very respectable place to come, in my opinion.

No matter the size of her fanbase, Nikki obviously added something big to BB7 and (similar to housemates like Nadia) I doubt there'll ever be a housemate with the same genuine qualities and personality trates again. This is the very reason the producers decided to put Nikki back into the house - she was entertaining and entertainment is the name of the game.

She also managed to survive three evictions in the early stages of series seven and that should be admired - especially when Sam (who didn't have half the amount of criticism and bad press that Nikki did) was voted out over Nikki.

In my opinion, Nikki is one of the reasons BB7 ranks in my top three series - at the time, she was likeable, amusing and, above all, entertaining. Personally, I found her to be a great housemate and the only reason she was evicted was because of Jayne's rule-breaking. I come to this conclusion because Nikki won the housemates over and only recieved three nominations following Lisa's eviction (in two seperate weeks).

Your opening paragraph! The twist BB set was to keep Nikki. They knew she would be up and whats more likely to happen-

a) Nikki gets evicted against one person
b) Nikki gets evicted against all the HMs

Excactly! BB didn't want rid of Nikki - they wanted her in!

Also Nadia was nothing special. She didn't save BB - that was Victor and Jason. If they had been thrown out on fight night we wouldn't be having this discussion right now.

I think for every lover there's a hater with Nikki - she was a very contravercial (sp?) housemate and added a lot to the show no matter what people have to say about her.

I also agree with the point you made on her being the villian of the final week. The top four positions were basically sealed and Nikki was hardly going to finish behind Jennie was she? Same with Grace, Lea and Mikey... No matter who was chosen, Jennie was easily going to be first out on finale night because she was the most ordinary and least outrageous finalist.

It's just a shame Nikki went back in, to be honest. It seemed to ruin the chances she had of becoming as big as Jade...

If you think logically, the votes were split, so all the fans of those 10 HM vote for her as she was a threat to their fave, and as you know she is a love or hate HM, that explains it all.
