I do not have an animated avatar or banner and neither do I want one, but I notice a lot of posters do, the problem I have is that they seem to slow the page down and make almost impossible to scroll. I had particular trouble on this thread where I had to click on the down arrow as moving the scroll bar would not work as it froze a lot.

It seems these animated avatars and banners must be hogging bandwidth making it dificult to view the threads.

Should their use be reviewed?

Okay, i have both, a animated avatar and i have a gif in my banner aswell, if any mods see any problems with that, they could u2u me and ask me to remove them.
