Big Brother star will launch weekend of fun

BIG Brother Celebrity Hijack winner John Loughton will launch a weekend of fun and games at M&D’s theme park in Strathclyde Country Park on May 17 and 18.

North Lanarkshire Council are working in partnership with M&D Leisure to promote the improved Young Scot National Entitlement Card.

The card offers young people aged 11 to 26 a range of discounts on travel, leisure, library loans and at various local and national retailers.

John Loughton, said: “I’m looking forward to having the chance to play ’Hijacker’.

“After countless celebrities telling me what to do in the Big Brother House, I get to control M&D’s and I’m looking forward to the fun.”

Over the weekend, all Young Scot card-holders will receive £5 off an M&D day pass to access all the funfair rides, and discounts on their other attractions.

In addition, youth work services within North and South Lanarkshire will also “Hijack” the theme park for the weekend, running information and advice stalls.

The weekend will be launched by John at noon on Saturday, May 17.

There is still time for young people to get their card to take advantage of the discounts.
