There are reports today that Endemol, the people behind Big Brother, are working on a new show that would see a thousand men compete for the chance to father a child.

They'll be whittled down to two men and special technology will allow us to watch which of the two finalists' sperm reaches the female's egg first.

But Endemol say this is still just an idea that came out of one of their brainstorming sessions.
