Default The Mirror

The Mirror has set itself up as the 'Anti Big Brother' paper and the first article by Kevin O'Sullivan 'Anti-Big Brother Correspondent' sets the tone of what we are to expect from them over the next nine weeks.

Take a big deep breath before you click here to read it and try to stay calm.

Didn't they LOVE big brother last year??

Maybe ashamed that they lost out to the Sun on most BB articles, they are adopting this stance (or just tryingto appeal to thoe who don't like BB)

I really hate journalist - 'Waist line challenged Alison'???

Oh, no, don't give her credit for not wanting to be a stick insect - there must be something wrong with her. Someone who is proud of her figure the way it is, and has self confidence, but is also over a size 12? Quickly, we must degrade her as much as possible, as we can't have such aperson in society.

STOP! NOT ALL OF US HAVE TINY FIGURES!!

I'm a size 14 and am incredibly paranoid about my weight, this just makes me mad and feel worse and worse about my weight. I'm really glad they have Alison in the house - shes one of the naturalist in the house, and has a fantastic personality, but the press sure as hell are going to do their best to make us ignore that.

Why do they do it??

I realise I'm biased, as it is a bit of a personal crusade of mine - does this get on anyone elses nerves??

I must agree with him RE: Jade though.

And lo! behold! He hates BB sooooooooooooo much, but he's going to watch 20 odd hours of it a day (purely for his job, you understand!)

Ho hum, but what do you expect from the Mirror - still smarting from losing out on ANY exclusive interviews last time round.

What's funny is that, although they're proclaiming to hate Big Brother, they're still going to be writing about it for the entire 9 weeks!

I cant believe that they were all over the show last year. They think support for the show is dying we will just have to prove them wrong. The pure cheek of it!

It's all part of their crusade to become a 'credible' newspaper (changing from a red-top, reporting more on foreign affairs etc).

What they fail to recognise is that a credible newspaper is going to report on important cultural events such as Big Brother, and by refusing to have balanced coverage they just appear incompetent.
