Default What is the point in a general election?

What's the point? I dont think electing Cameron would do much good, and giving Brown another term would be good either

What happened to the choice?

Both parties are swimming in corruption, and the Lib Dem's would never be good in No.10, since they havent served a term there in a long time (perhaps never)

So basically, any choice we make, we're just gonna get the same crap we got last term

I would like Labour in for another term
but yeah a lot of people are seeing it as there will be no difference whether Brown or Cameron gets elected so maybe it will put a few off voting

I'm generally apathetic towards all the major parties at the moment apart from the Lib Dems, give them a whack at it they'll be better then the other two.

I don't want the Tories anywhere near Number 10, the problem with them is that they can only cater for so much of the public and that like always they'll favour the wealthy.

I say give Lib Dems or an independant party a try (apart from BNP of course).

Power trip by the Tories to get into #10 pretending they're going to change stuff ... and don't

They'd be worse-r then Labour. Tories favour the wealthy, always have always will. Ideally we need a PM who wasn't born with a silver spoon in his or her mouth and understands the conditions of the general public and I doubt very much the Tories can cater for that.

Idependent or Lib Dems FTW.

I think both Labour and Conservative are fighting to be the ultimate middle ground Party because Labour won by a landslide when they did that back in 1997; and it's taken the Tories a decade to realise that that's how they won the votes. I think whoever gets elected will slowly but surely return to the wing they're from within 2 years of being elected; if that turns out to be popular then they'll stay as a x-wing Party, if not then they'll return to the centre ground.

We do know that, because we actually bother to inform ourselves on both parties policies and manifesto!

I think Chewy's got a point. The two main political parties look pretty similar policy-wise so why bother getting rid of labour only for the Tories to give us more of the same.
