THE former fiancee of Big Brother hunk Anthony has revealed how he broke her heart when he cruelly dumped her for fame.

Community beat support officer Leanne Wales was devastated when he ended their four-year relationship without warning.

And she has not been out with anyone since as she tries in vain to forget the 70s disco dancer she expected to wed.

Leanne, 25, confided in best friend Lisa Clarke: "I'm still getting over him. I can't believe he's in the house. I thought he was the one I was going to marry and spend the rest of my life with. But he chose his career instead. He's really determined to get famous. First, it was the dancing - but now I've really been left out of his future."

Lisa, 24, added: "Leanne was his first true love. They got together when he left school and it's still raw that they've split up."

She said Anthony, 23, ended the relation-ship four months ago. But she added: "It was really a mutual decision because he was away a lot anyway dancing in Scotland.

"He originally wanted to be a hairdresser - but after this he could be anything he wants. He's definitely in it to win it."

Dental nurse Lisa has been Leanne's pal since they - along with Anthony - were pupils at St Bede's in Consett, Co.Durham.

She declared the self-confessed romeo was always very close to his family, adding: "His gran does everything for him."


Lisa also believed he had been faithful to Leanne until they split. So she insisted there could not much truth in the tales of his sexploits with loads of women.

She insisted: "I don't see how he could have got up to all that he's supposed to have got up to in such a short time."

Meanwhile, Leanne is immersing herself in the job she's had for the past year in a bid to push Anthony out of her thoughts.

Support officers pound the streets and parks trying to track down under-age drinkers. And she says of her Consett beat: "We know most of the children's hiding places now and it can be rewarding. When they're in a big group they're all bravado - but if you get them on one side they'll talk to you and ask how your job is."

A colleague said: "She's always bubbly and has a great rapport with the public. She is a good worker and a credit to the force."

But Leanne could still face more heartbreak if superfit Anthony becomes the first Big Brother bonker following his lingering snog with sexy housemate Sam.

She's admitted feeling "horny" and fancying him - while he has said he intends to have sex in the house. Be prepared, Leanne.

I agree too - but she was quick enough to sell her story for a bit of cash, while he is in the house and can't defend himself from what she's saying.

A pay off from a newspaper - has that done anything to mend her broken heart? I bet it has. As for Anthony I'm surprised he could have such a long relationship with anyone but himself.
