I saw two little kids playing on their bikes outside their house yesterday. Must have been about 6 years old.

Made me smile.

Reminded me the innocence of childhood and my own childhood, which is now a very long time ago.

…strangely I was thinking also of how gorgeous it is to hear/see children and families together/playing and chattering and picnic-ing together etc in contrast to COVID times, when we didn’t have that….we were sitting by the river one day in a part where families gather and all paddle etc and it was such an uplifting thing……until we started to melt in the sun and then we had to go seek darkness and shade…..

Yeah I love seeing families together, young and old enjoying themselves. It's like the Britain of old.

My Cat being so immature for her age can make me smile.

I'm glad that she's never lost that youthful spirit.

And I've already mentioned my Dad's optimism when it comes to his recent interest in Tattoos.

Tbh, I don't know if there really is anything else that I've been able to smile about recently.

The news has been depressing as ****, and whilst I love the rest of my family, they haven't done anything recently to raise a smile from me.
