Too many pics of badly burned children in the papers at this time of year.. I think fireworks should be limited to organised displays..

It was in my local newspaper that someone had called their hamster S Club - which didn't make sense. They tied their hamster to a rocket and set it off. The last line was something like "S Club definitely reached for the stars" Deserving of a groan!

When i was a kid, the run up to firework night was the best fun i'd had all year .. some of the things we got up to, as a kid, were fantastic!! .. i wish i was 10 again. i never got hurt once! ( had lots of close escapes though) Bangers and rockets were my favourite, especially when tied together.

I don't think fireworks should be banned, but it's getting annoying hearing them go off weeks before bonfire night.
