I can see Janine being back for the 30th too, but after that I can see her gone for a few years. The character needs a break and I can sense that Charlie Brooks wants some breathing space away from playing Janine for now.

She'll get to spend more time with her daughter, she has opened up a stage school too, which is a big project and will be time consuming to help upcoming young stars (her daughter is obviously in the SS also) and possibly she'll do some Acting roles outside of EE which I would like to see her do.

I think it is the right time for Janine to go for now personally. I may not like the character, but Charlie is fantastic and I must admit that Janine is a great villain (I don't see her as a victim).

Although it is an exciting time because a new baddie can take Janine's vacated crown, step forward Veronica Mitchell. I hope EE have a fresh baddie lined up soon though!

And I forgot that Charlie quit before EE knew that DTC was taking over, so she must kind of be disappointed a bit now the show is going places again, but she made a decision what she thought was right for her and fair play for that.

EastEnders: Stacey to make another big decision

Stacey Branning has another important decision to make on EastEnders next week in the aftermath of Janine Butcher's murder trial.

Viewers have been wondering what the future holds for Stacey (Lacey Turner) after a jury found Janine not guilty in Thursday night's episode.

In the next visit to Walford on Monday (March 24), it's revealed that Janine has kept her promise to Kat Moon by dropping her false claims about being stabbed by Stacey.

The news means that Stacey can be on Albert Square without having to hide herself away, but as she comes face-to-face with many of its residents, not all of them give her a warm welcome back.

Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons) is particularly unhappy as she is still unable to forgive Stacey for killing Archie.



A busy day for Stacey sees her attempt to make things right between Bianca (Patsy Palmer) and Kat after they fall out over the lies that Kat told about Alice.

Stacey also clears things up with her ex-lover Max (Jake Wood), making it clear that they'll only ever be friends despite their recent kiss.





Next on Stacey's list of people to see is Dot Branning (June Brown) and when the pair have a heart-to-heart, it hits home to Stacey that her late husband Bradley has had to pay for her sins.

Haunted by her mistakes, Stacey begins to wonder whether she can really stay on the Square and makes a big decision. What will she do?


I am so looking forward to this now, glad the charges have been dropped. Stacey looks so hot too, she's amazing.

EastEnders: Denise's daughter Libby returns for brief appearance

Former EastEnders cast member Belinda Owusu will make a brief appearance in an upcoming episode, producers have confirmed.

The Libby Fox actress was seen filming a scene with her on-screen mum Denise Fox played by Diane Parish. The pair were spotted strolling through Oxford's Botanic Garden.





The BBC have confirmed that the scenes will air in mid-April.

Details on the storyline will be revealed nearer the time.

Owusu was last seen on the soap in 2010 when her character left Walford to study at Oxford University.

During her time on the show, Libby underwent a number of dramatic storylines. Her father Owen attempted to murder her, and she discovered her boyfriend Darren Miller was the father of Heather Trott's son George.

Libby wasn't the most exciting character, but it will be nice to see her briefly back just for Denise's sake really, glad that Denise is in her own storyline and the show are remembering about her family.

I'm glad EE are showing more places to film outside the square as there is life outside it too.
