Default Found this little guy in my garden..






I've since discovered it is an emperor moth and it has taken up residence on the underside of the railings at my back steps.. and has laid eggs.. so it's not a little guy at all.. it's a little gal..

I've never seen one as large before. I looked it up and found out the emperor female is larger than the male.. and has a wingspan up to 8cm.. which is about right for this one..

I'm not sure how long the eggs will be there..

Ammi.. it just walked onto my hand.. didn't want to leave lol.. I had to coerce it into walking onto the planter on top of my rabbit hutch..

You can kinda see the eggs... it's hard to take the pic.. my railings are rusty and she's on the underside..
