Default Lets not make Brian into some sort of hero...
Let's not make Brian into some sort of hero now, no way am I defending Helen, she's vile but Brian was a prick this past week in that house, seemed to be having some anger/temper issues too and he certainly gave out as much insults as he got (apart from the rapist and murderer comment)

So painting him into a hero figure is too far imo.

Except Brian was the one who initiated the argument by getting pissy with Helen.

He can't get all shouty and angry and then blame Helen for him being angry.

Her comment was uncalled for but she didn't suddenly start on him out of nowhere.

I don't blame. Brian for getting angry. I would have done the same.

Brian started most of the arguments between them.

He's not able to take criticism in the same way they are and so when there was a disagreement he would fly off the handle. then he'd retreat for a few hours and run things over in his mind, convincing himself of stuff he believed to be correct but which actually wasn't true.

He is a very unstable character. A few housemates will sleep safer tonight.
