I was convinced the top two would be Russia and Ukraine so I'm glad Australia nabbed the second spot. Also very happy that Bulgaria made the top 5, And Douwe (Netherlands) beat Hovi (Israel).

I saw a good point raised on Twitter a few minutes ago - Ukraine could possibly pull out of hosting if they can't afford the costs. I wonder who they'd choose as a replacement broadcaster if it were actually to happen...

The UK is known for stepping into host also wouldnt Ukraine pulling out take the choice out of their hands?

Hmm I don't know why they would re-enter if they couldn't afford it, but who knows what could happen. It would be interesting to follow.

Also, Malta being paid dust by the televoters was a little gutting too.

I use the term "they" loosely as I don't know whether it would be the Ukrainian broadcaster or the EBU's decision.
