Tbh I don't see how a change in leadership is going to change anything? It will still have a lot of the same backbenchers who are still just as confused with what to do with Brexit as they was when the people first voted for it back in 2016, just with a new face to represent them.

I don't know why the public are so pissed off about the idea of a soft brexit, they voted for it. The information was there that May's government flip flopped on basically every issue so why is it a surprise that she's going for a soft brexit after saying that bull**** about no deal's better than a bad deal? The writing was on the wall but people simply didn't want to hear.

a vote for the tories in the last election was a vote for a soft brexit. Tory voters are getting what they voted for.

Also supporting Rees-Moggs is the same as supporting homophobia, he does not believe in equal rights for gay people. Nobody who is that bigoted should be allowed near Downing Street because they cannot represent the people if they believe that not all citizens should be treated equally.

It's gone waaaay past that... farage openly advocates the marginalisation of people on live link to the US and berates people for insulting a world leader ...by insulting a world leader.

If your latest lump everyone together statement about supporting mogg makes you support homophobia is true then look, look at me supporting homophobia.....sounds daft eh
..you play video games so you must support all the murderers and rapists that commit crimes after playing these games!!

But you dont, cause that would be as stupid as the other stupid comment.

We don't know what brexit we will end up with as it's still to be negotiated. A white paper is a strategy only. I don't see the EU budging on their proposals one bit, when have they ever done so before, so why would people think they would now?

The most likely scenario now is a no deal with something fudged together during the transition period after we have left. If that's where we end up, that will be a pretty hard brexit.

I kind of wish Cameron never resigned. He was a more (I can't think of a better phrase) strong and stable leader; could probably keep his Cabinet together through all this; and would regularly make toast of Corbyn during PMQs, instead of the limp draws we keep having.

I will be surprised if May clings to her precarious position too much longer. I think there's too much appeasement of remainers and the EU with little or no thought going to those who voted leave.

And just to clarify for everyone... there is no one in the Tory party who is on the "extreme Right". No one.

You could say that about anything, why focus on Brexit when there are far more important issues? ETC.

It's silly logic that only serves to minimise issues that YOU are uncomfortable with. Having a potential PM that doesn't believe in equal rights for all citizens is problematic as hell, you just don't care because you think it's okay because it doesn't affect you. Your continued lack of empathy for everyone that is different from you is quite worrying.

As for whether or not it's an important issue, I'd say it definitely is. Supporting the idea that gay people should essentially not be given access to the same rights based on their sexuality is a massive civil issue and would be a step backwards. Having a potential candidate for Prime Minister that opposes equal rights should be hugely worrying for everyone.

May isn't going anywhere. No-one with serious political ambitions will take that job on at the moment, and its unlikely anyone would beat her in a leadership challenge. They would need 169 votes to defeat her.

I'd say supporting someone that is opposed to equal rights for all citizens has more to do with fuelling hate but

Rees-Moog is a hate filled hypocrite though.

He is also against any form of abortion at any time, including rape cases. While at the same time supplying drugs to Indonesia and India that are used for abortion

It's not just one thing with this guy, he is a true nasty piece of work

I knew he opposed abortion regardless of the circumstances which is gross but I didn't know that he profited from drugs that cause abortion, I googled it to make sure and it's true.

An awful person. He's opposed to equal rights for gay people, opposes women's rights to choose what to do with their own body and is a hypocrite to boot.
