Default Bacon is off the menu

From the Sun-online

My expectation now is that some schools, hospitals and possibly some staff canteens and some restaurants may pull the plug on serving bacon on the grounds they do not want to be at risk from a theoretical law suit brought by cancer sufferes because they were served bacon.

If I was a catering manager in a public institution I probably would pull the plug, to avoid possible litigation and so we could say we were being responsible, such is the nature of our litigious society.

I didn't take kindly to the news, as I was tucking into my most favoured and flavoured honey roast ham at the time. Not only that, but it's fruit juices too !!

In fact, oxidization is what kills us all in the end, so soon they will say it's not safe to breathe.!!

I love Bacon, I don't care what they say... no one or anything can put me off my once a week Bacon, sausage and egg bap from Cafe Nova when at work.. it keeps us going!

Does my head in though all these reports of what you can/can't eat! We'll all be stuck just eating celery soon, then some smart arse will find out that can give you cancer too!

Foods and drinks constantly being classed as dangerous by reports on this that and the other just devalues peoples trust in experts. As such when a real danger is found no one will take any notice.......

All I would say is what many would say "Moderation in all things" and you won't go far wrong..

Odd how all these things people eat and drink are claimed to shorten lives while at the same time life expectancy is rising.........Even taking into account medical advances people seem to be much older before they need medical intervention which contradicts the claim by differing reports that the food we eat and other bad habits are killing us.

Take experts with a pinch of salt. Oh sorry not supposed to have salt try a pinch bull manure instead...
