To be honest, I think you have to enjoy the general western story / atmosphere to get a lot out of the first game. GTA5 for example is a fun / competent open world playground game to mess around in just for the action even if you totally ignore the characters and storyline, but RDR is one that you have to get immersed in for it to be worth it. I really enjoyed it but, quite tellingly I guess, I only played through RDR once whereas I've played through every GTA game since Vice city at least 3 times. San Andreas about 7 times .

Physical copies on PS4 are always cheaper, which is annoying as I'd much rather download . It's also why I often get things for PC instead, as PC digital download is generally even cheaper than PS4 physical . But RDR2 isn't likely to be coming to PC for at least a year.

If its a game I'm gonna play alot then always get a digital copy. it means I've got no re-sale options but I really cant be arsed with changing discs when its a game I'm gonna play every day. I'll pay the extra just for the luxury.

Well, that's surely a pretty bold statement

Also slightly amused that a few 0-point user reviews that don't even have anything to do with the game, just people peeved that it's only out on console, have dragged the user meta down to 8.5 when it would otherwise be up nearer 9.5 .

TBH reviews that aren't actually about the game itself should be removed.

That would totally depend on the speed of your internet . Even if it's 100GB, to take 30 hours would mean an 8mb internet connection. Most people have at least 20mb these days. Mine runs at about 45mb... which should mean a download time of under 6 hours.

It has 5 different biomes which essentially means 5 completely different sets of outdoors textures and assets. The vast majority of a game's file size is textures... which is why we're seeing a huge sudden jump lately (4k textures are very large).
