Vanessa Hudgens has reportedly been axed from the third installment of High School Musical.

According to reports, the actress is no longer required by the show's producers, who are concerned by the "baggage" that she brings since nude photos of the star leaked onto the internet.

A source told OK!: "Disney finally decided that they don’t want her back.

"They feel that as long as Zac Efron is in the movie, all will be fine.

"He’s the real star - the household name - and, most importantly, he comes without baggage."

I don't know if I believe that, partly because of the source, and partly because Zac/Vanessa are a couple so I thought he'd stick by her. It's good he's taking a professional approach though. I thought Vanessa would be there for HSM3 seeing as it's the last one and it'd be odd since the last two films were based on the Troy/Gabriella relationship for the most part.

Personally, I always liked Vanessa... but then I realised I mainly liked her character and the odd interview, not really her as a person.

I don't believe for two seconds that Zac & Vanessa are together. I think they together for the sake of the fans and for the publicity it would bring. People wanted them together so it made sense for them to fake a relationship.

I can fully see why they would axe Vanessa, fully reasonable. Weather it true or not, that's another thing.

The publicity element was what misled me a bit. Also, I don't think their personalities 'click' so much in real life.

As for axing her, it is reasonable in terms of her position... the fact that HSM is for youngsters, but at the same time it may jeopardise HSM3. Not to mention that the pictures were completely personal, so it's unfortunate that they were leaked.

That's why I'm a bit undecided about whether it's true, and am leaning more towards the fact that it isn't due to the source, the present situation etc.

Dont believe it for a minute. HSM3 without Vanessa Hudgens is like BTVS without SMG, Big Brother without Davina. If this is true, then HSM3 is gunna be a disaster
