Default Fixing?

This is not a "OMG THE X FACTOR IS FIXED" post, before you read any further.

I sometimes get the impression that the judges, and especially Simon Cowell, predetermine some of the results. I mean, logically, people are put through in "no particular order" but the same people will vote for the same acts each week, so why did Beverley find herself in the bottom two two weeks ago? Why did Alisha somehow manage to avoid the bottom two for two weeks before going, after her third time? I sometimes think that it's fixed in this way. For example, Andy last week, you could tell Simon Cowell (especially) wasn't keen on him still being in the competition, and he ended up being in the bottom two with Beverley. We've all seen how capable Beverley is of belting out songs, but she was singing You're Beautiful which is slow paced and really not very challenging to sing at all, and she seemed to fall flat on her face because of it. I think it was all a little bit rigged to ensure Andy would get kicked off. When the acts in the bottom two are performing for the last time, you often see Simon leaning across to speak to Dannii/Sharon/Louis, which seems a bit odd that he wouldn't be paying attention when he has to make a decision based on the last performance.
Does anyone else think that the X Factor is rigged in this way? I'm not suggesting they cheat on the votes or anything, but I find it incredible that Alisha, after two weeks running in the bottom two, would suddenly earn a huge fanbase to keep her out of the bottom two for two weeks running, and similarly that Beverley would suddenly lose enough votes to be considered "worse" than Leon, Same Difference, Alisha and Hope.
Furthermore, d'you think there should be a different voting system? Perhaps similar to Strictly Come Dancing, where there's the judges' vote and the public vote? That way you wouldn't have situations where people like Andy, who failed to deliver for the month he was on the program, outlasting people like Kimberley or Futureproof, who were probably more talented. I think there should be. Rhydian was horrific yesterday and Niki wasn't all that great either, Same Difference were terrible and yet all three dodged the bottom two.

Okay, rant over. Thoughts?

Beverleydidnt hvae a big fanbase in the first place. Shes split votes with Niki who is (well was) an obvious favourite. Shes not got a target audience really. And I think Alisha got votes as she was improivng each week, her performance of Valerie was good, so didnt deserve to be in the bototm so people voted, and the disaster that was Modern Classic week, she was one of the better acts

I think Alisha was getting votes from those who would have voted Emily, her growing fanbase as Billy has said and votes to keep Mrs O in the competition.
