Cheater Marc is rat it again

LOVE rat Marc Bannerman plans to DUMP Cerys Matthews when she flies back to England on Sunday, pals have revealed.

The sleazy actor, 34, left Cerys heartbroken on Thursday night when he failed to show up to her eviction from the jungle.

But worse is yet to come for the former Catatonia singer — as Marc has had a change of heart about their blossoming relationship.

A pal said: “When they were in the jungle he was swept up in it all, but in the cold light of day he’s realised she may not be the woman for him.

“He’s utterly confused and doesn’t know what to do.”

Since returning to England, Marc has been exposed as a love rat and has been dumped by his furious girlfriend of two years — ex-Footballers’ Wives star Sarah Matravers.

Sarah, 33, gave him the boot after watching Marc kiss and flirt with Cerys in the ITV1 show. Mean Marc has now gone into hiding — to avoid both women.

Cerys, 38, had expected a steamy reunion when she was evicted, after the ex-EastEnder wrote promising to return to Australia to see her.

When she emerged from the jungle Cerys looked for Marc as the television cameras followed her over the bridge out of the I’m A Celeb camp.

When Ant and Dec revealed that Marc had stayed in London to “sort things out”, a grim-faced Cerys couldn’t contain her disappointment.

She told the duo: “I’m gutted he’s not here, actually.”

But she pulled herself together and added: “Oh well, fair enough.”

Last night mum-of-two Cerys said: “I was a little surprised he wasn’t there because I had a letter saying that he might come and greet me.

“Things in the jungle are so intense, your emotions are really raw.”

Cerys is unaware of Marc’s change of heart and wants to see him as soon as she gets back to the UK.

Yesterday she said: “Yes, I definitely will see Marc again.”

She defended their illicit jungle romance, saying: “First of all, we were 11 people in a really intense situation. In all innocence, we were getting on really well as friends — it was me, Anna, Marc.

“He was friendly to everybody, he was generous, wanted to help everybody out. And the moment when our friendship was getting a little bit intense, we pulled back a little because we didn’t want to hurt anybody.

“We got on really well from the beginning. We just started spending more time together and after a few days it was like, ‘Oh shoot’ — because it’s wrong, isn’t it?”

Yesterday Cerys admitted she has no idea whether she can make her relationship with Marc work.

She added: “I still don’t know what to expect because we didn’t really talk. Who knows?”

But when she was in camp Cerys was certain they had a future — and even planned her wedding and honeymoon with jungle pal Anna Ryder Richardson.

I feel there is a lot more of this story to come over the next few days or so. Reports are that Marc has sold his story to one of the newspapers and I would expect something to be published tomorrow with his side of the story.

One thing is clear it won't be in the News of the World if the Sun are looking for him. I bet the paper that has the story has him in hiding until after it appears in the press.
