Posh: My true fans burst into tears or pass out when they see me

Victoria Beckham has developed a bizarre system for rating the devotion of her fans.

The super-slim singer says "true fans" prove their dedication by bursting into tears when they spot her - or by falling unconscious.

But the star reserves her highest praise for those who work themselves into such a state they need emergency medical help.

ictoria's comments came after after she was mobbed by hysterical fans when she arrived in Japan to promote the Spice Girls' reunion world tour.

The 33-year-old, otherwise known as Posh Spice, said in a video on her personal website: "It was amazing at the airport - there were lots of lovely Japanese people there to greet us.

There were tears. I always like that, I think that it shows you are a true fan when you cry or when you pass out.

"When the paramedics are called I think that is a good sign, it shows real determination as a fan."

Victoria posted a video of herself applying make-up on her website - www.dvbstyle.com -where she regularly puts up short pieces of footage showing what her life is like.

As well as showing what could be described as her condescending attitude to fans, the high definition footage reveals the flaws in the singer's skin, which has raised comment in the past.

Other clips show her with her dog Twiggy in a Louis Vuitton dog collar and on a private plane travelling between appointments.

She is also shown negotiating her way in and out of a blacked-out Range Rover.

She comments on the problems of carrying out such a manoeuvre wearing a tight skirt and waves demurely at screaming fans.

The mother of three is taking part in the The Return Of The Spice Girls tour, which includes some 40 concerts on five continents.

She will be joined on stage by her fellow bandmates, Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell, Scary Spice Melanie Brown, Sporty Spice Melanie Chisholm and Baby Spice Emma Bunton.

The tour starts in Vancouver today.

More than 750,000 tickets have already been sold worldwide since they unveiled their plans in June.

Initially, gigs were planned in 11 cities but due to demand that number has expanded, and some dates remain to be fixed.

Tickets for the first announced London gig sold out in just 38 seconds.

More were added, with the same response, and the capital will now host 17 concerts from December 15.

The Nineties all-female band is one of the most successful acts in pop music history.
