MR C did this years ago to my car while I was in Ireland, and I had to sort it when I came back The guy who came out said there is a dedicated team at the AA to deal with this error its quite common, so don't feel too foolish

if its a Ford Escort then it ceased production in 2004 so that must be a very well looked after car, Of course the classic Escort for me was the RS2000

my dad had a yellow one like this until he pulled out in front of a car in the 70s. I suspect he was somewhat over the limit but back then you had to be so you did not worry about not wearing a seatbelt and the fact everyone else was pissed up too.

Aw....I had an Escort years ago....loved that car till sone bastard stole it. The police found it but made me go and pick it up and told me I might need a screwdriver to start it....the thieves stole not only my tape collection....but also my love for it. So I flogged it and got a peugeot 205 instead.

How much diesel did you put in it? It can be sorted
