I don't think cosmetic surgery should be available on the NHS, regardless of how 'depressed' people are about their looks. The only time it should be offered, is reconstructive surgery after operations/accidents etc. Surely, its totally 'normal' to hate something about your looks for ****s sake..

The NHS have denied glamour model Carla Bellucci’s claims she faked mental health problems in order to get a free nose job - stating she didn’t have a cosmetic procedure.

The 37-year-old mother-of-three appeared on This Morning today where she claimed she had flirted with a GP and falsified symptoms of depression because she wanted a £7k cosmetic procedure to her nose.

But a spokesperson for the Royal Free London, NHS Foundation Trust has said Belluci had surgery as the result of an injury and had no cosmetic work done on the NHS.

The Royal Free said in a statement: “The claims made by Carla Bellucci relating to Chase Farm Hospital are categorically untrue.

"Following an injury to her nose she had a procedure at Chase Farm Hospital which was conducted for medical reasons and no cosmetic work was carried out.

“All the appropriate diagnostic tests were completed prior to this operation to ensure her eligibility for the procedure.”

Bellucci told This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: “I did lie to get a nose job on the NHS, but I do work, I was born here, I feel I’ve not really done anything that wrong.”

Well are the NHS covering their own back though? Cause I don't think they can take the route of suing her. I actually feel sorry for the GP who is probably going to get sacked, as who knows if he actually did advise her to lie because she 'flirted' with him.
