If he doesn't, and out of this whole sorry few months of X Factor 2007 Leon is the most successful, then it really does say a lot about the utter dismay I feel towards the music industry today.

Simon will give him a recording contract if he doesn't go to musical theatre. Simon has a thing about getting opera into mainstream music.

Of course, and he deserves it! The real question is if the album will be full of rushed covers released in time for Mothers' Day or if it will be decent.

I think it might be the Mothers Day caaaarp, Wasted.

He'll get a contract. But hopefully it won't last.

Yes, I'm sure he will. Simon took a keen interest in him. And I think that was the frame of mind for many of the viewers: something along the lines of, 'Well he'll get a contract anyway, what's the point in voting for him?' In reflection, that's not such a bad point of view. I did still think he would win - however, I'm sure he will benefit greatly from the experience, in numerous respects. Good luck Rhydian!

I think it might actually work out better for Rhydian by not winning, he can do a whole load of other things without having the huge expectancy that comes with winning the X-Factor.

If nobodies off the street, acts that are only known locally that the rest of us haven't even heard of...can get recording contracts and become successful musical artists.

Then im sure someone who came second on a competition that is watched by millions on television, who has showcased his talent every single week, will be spotted by someone.

Like ive said in another topic, about Gareth Gates becoming a bigger success than the winner Will Young. Even though Gareth let his career slip and now Will Young is more popular, that's not something Rhydian will necessarily let happen.

Leon appeals to all the little girls, grandma's and mums etc.
Whereas Rhydian can appeal to everyone else, as well as those people.

Im sure someone can see Rhydian's "uniqueness" and a major opportunity to turn that into a money making machine for themselves. So it should happen sooner or later.

Leon is too predictable, singers like him are common and there'll be plenty of people focused on Rhydian. As losing based on votes doesn't reflect your actual talent, when we're talking about people who vote because Leon is from the same country as them, or because they think Leon is "fit"

You only have to listen to Dannii praising him for his good looks and the fact that she thinks every girl wants him, to know even she was targetting him at girls/mums who probably fancy him.

Rhydian is like a million time mroe memorable than Leon ever will be.He has a personality for one and a fantastic voice which is unique,i think he made the show this year,i mean if you think about what it would have been like without him i think you`ll find you get a very boring show.
