The voice of reason
|
![]() ![]() Piers Morgan has told Lily Allen to “Fack off” after she said Boris Johnson’s general election victory is down to “racism” in Britain. The singer posted a series of social media posts condemning the Conservatives’ victory following a disastrous night for Labour. On instagram, she wrote: “Some say it was Brexit, some day it was Jeremy [Corbyn], personally, and I know no one wants to hear it, I think that racism and misogyny runs so so deep in this country and that Boris won because of his attitude towards those things and not in spite of them.” Good Morning Britain co-presenter Morgan responded to a news article write- up of Allen’s comments on Twitter, writing: “I think I speak for Britain when I say if @lilyallen doesn’t like it here, why doesn’t she ******* off?” ![]() After somebody replied calling her a “privilege-denying clown”, Allen fired back: “Oh ******* off I shout out my privilege every five mins. It’s because of my privilege and proximity to to it that I know what inherently greedy *******s we all are. I KEEP TRYING TO TELL YOU.” Other celebrities to speak out against Johnson’s win include Millionaire Hugh Grant, Trainspotting millionaire author Irvine Welsh, and millionaire Stormzy, who retweeted a number of messages suggesting the dire implications of the Conservatives victory as he promoted his new album https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-e...-a9245676.html is Lilly right? ![]() |
