Its really annoying me when people say "have you heard this new song" when I've had it and got bored of it before it even made the music channels

Why should it annoy you that some people haven't heard it and you've heard 3 years ago? I hate it when people say that, as if they are somehow better and try and put other people down because they heard it before them. The first time I heard it was on my Clubber's Guide 2008 CD which I bought a few weeks ago, I don't care if someone heard it 3 years ago, why should that stop me from enjoying it now?

It shouldn't stop you from liking it but when people buzz over it as though its some new sensation that people have only just discovered and think they are the first to hear it etc just annoys me. Its the same with Rockstar by Nickleback.

I actually like it - I still do, even though I heard it a while ago and enjoyed it a lot then.
Having said that, I'd be lying if I said I expected it to clinch the top spot - it's good, but not quite the sort to appeal to many. I don't mind though.
