As it says in the title. 2008’s proven a lot more watchable this time around than back then but few will deny that it’s a pretty random choice as far as individual year choices go.

Imma let 2008 finish.. but 2005 and 9 was amazing from beginning to end
Either way it’s still good and I’m grateful for classic Eastenders from any year, they just chose a very random one. Even 2007 with Max and Stacey’s affair would of been a cute choice Love how you only chose 2010 and 2014 from last decade ![]() |

I'm enjoying 2008 but 2007 from summer onwards would be good. I wanted to see the Vic raid episodes which I remembered from 2008 but apparently that was November 2007.

I voted 1986.
It's before I was born but what I've seen of this deeply dark and depressing show in the last 2 decades. Leaves me wondering if it was worth watching in the 80s. As I can't bear to even look in on it now. |

Compared to most of what's followed but on its own it was a pretty choppy year. Especially in the summer (where the current episodes stop).

That's it. The first half of the year was disastrous. That period from the back-end of the Johnny Allen era to the Mad May/Dawn story concluding was the least interested I ever was in Eastenders in the 2000s (a few months in 2008 aside).
