Exactly! People should be afraid of communism, but socialism? Nah mate. If I had to label myself I'd say "old school liberal, but with environmentalism overriding anything when there's conflict" but socialism is better than a lot of the other alternatives out there!

No surprise there. I have no doubt that both candidates got some fraudulant votes from individuals, like someone voting on behalf of a dead relative or crossing state lines to vote twice etc, but fraud at the level Trump seems to think ...

If there really was that level of "Deep State" meddling going on, it would either be too well hidden for Trump's investigations to uncover, or the Republicans would have been involved so they can get rid of him and remodel their party out of their shadow.

Exactly, some level of dubious voting is present in every election but it's a non-partisan issues (there will be a few questionable votes for any candidate) so they cancel each other out, and also it's statistically around 0.03% of votes or less so would only make a difference in an EXTREMELY close vote (a margin of a few hundred votes).

Elections can be overturned on recount as we saw with Gore/Bush... but that was because a large state with a lot of electoral votes came down to a razor thin margin. It's just not going to happen when the voting margins are tens of thousands of votes, and they would need to overturn multiple states.

As nerve wrecking election night was, with all the mail in votes, it’s honestly not going to end up being close in the end. No recounts is changing that. A comprehensive win for Biden and a defeat to Trump’s politics of fear.

I've not been following, so if there's any reason for a recount, then fair enough. If it stays with Biden, I hope Trump gets the message and concedes.

But if it goes to Trump, it'll energise to him to keep plugging, and this crap will be dragged on for ages...

The bot activity on Twitter on election night was utterly BIZARRE. Like the comments didn't even make sense. One that I saw hundreds of involved people from hardcore Trump states claiming that because Trump had lost they were... moving to Canada... .

I think my favourite was the one I saw hundreds of copies of where they were so upset with the "stupid children" for "voting out Trump who was here to save us"... they were going to "move their family to Hawaii where they know how to run a country properly".

I mean ... not only is Hawaii a US state - but it's a US state that has resoundingly voted Democrat . ... for over 50 years. Mind blowing stuff.

It's clear Trump nor anyone else has the slightest evidence of any kind of fraud.

The figures just keep moving further away from Trump.

Yet he and the Republican party itself are still withholding being more gracious losers.
