I disagree with the Privacy issue...many Royals or ex famous people disappear out of the limelight and lead a relatively normal life...of course they get snapped now and then....but Meghan and Harry are constantly courting the limelight and publicity...so long as as its all positive.

That's the crux of it - they can't take any criticism at all, which is why they are making such a big deal of 'we are leading in the mission to make social media nicer', as if it isn't being done already by more influential and knowledgeable voices than theirs.
It's all about THEM wanting total control, jumping on the latest fashionable bandwagon and being the perennial victims.

...I think, though...that we do have and have had so many multiple threads which dislike can be and has been expressed, it would have just been nice to have had this one positive thread for their wonderful news....and I know that not any type of physical harm has been expressed in the pregnancy, I don’t think that would have ever been thought to happen anyway...but as always, negativity seems to be found ...it’s the wrong photo type/ it’s the wrong way to announce and etc...it’s impossible not to understand their decision to try to take back control of their lives and escape the hostility of it all...
