Shockwaves NME Awards 2008 - all the nominations

Arctic Monkeys have led the way in the Shockwaves NME Awards 2008 nominations, picking up seven nods between them - and now YOU can decide who wins.



The Cribs, Klaxons and My Chemical Romance are also among the bands who did well in the first phases of voting, making it onto this year's shortlist.

The awards are now only a few weeks away, on February 28 at their new home, the Indig02 in north Greenwich, London.

Take a look at who is left in each category, and then cast your vote via www.NME.COM/awardsnominees. Remember and get your votes in by 10am on Monday February 25.

Also, Mark, NME isn't an 'indie' magazine. It's a magazine dedicated to New Music, hence the name - and was originally described as a pop music magazine as it focuses on charts.

To be fair, a large amount of their music is indie-related - but they do a lot of Hip-Hop reviews and all sorts of new music.
