Meghan told Oprah the ‘conversations’ happened when she was pregnant, when Harry came out and was asked he said it ‘was a conversation that happened before we were married’.

Oh for goodness sake, it doesn't matter when it was said.
It was said to Prince Harry himself, not to Meghan.
They both clearly stated that.

Harry may actually have only told Meghan once she was pregnant.
Or is that not a possibility either?

They got married in May 2018.
Archie was born less than a year later.

We're looking at about a period of less than 3 months from wedding to Meghan being pregnant.

This nitpicking, in my opinion, is beyond belief honestly.
Coming from adults too.

The nitpicking is tiresome , why can't it be acknowledged that it was STILL SAID

It’s not nitpicking...yes it was said apparently, in what context we don’t know. But their story doesn’t tally. If Harry said it was said ONCE before the wedding...and Meghan says it was said SEVERAL times whilst she was pregnant, then someone is lying...

It's really unnecessary Goldheart.

It's still been said of course it's not lying either.
Harry may have discussed it with Meghan several times.
It's only from one person.
They BOTH said that, and Prince Harry wouldn't go into the conversation or conversations..
He only stated, it had been said directly to him.

Also Meghan refused to name THE person who said it.
THE singular.

That person COULD have said it several times.

The fact it was said and caused them both offence is understandable.
Whether it's said once or more than once.
Whoever said it.

Trying to paint people we don't know as liars on such flimsy nitpicking as this.
Is utterly ridiculous in my view from adults too.
Just because these 2 aren't liked..

All they say is wrong and anyone against them will be right.

Well no one, not me or anyone, is ever all wrong or all right.
They were both in stressful times for them.
Prince Harry clearly taken aback by this comment on his baby's likely skin colour, both clearly offended by it and rightly so to take offence at it as well..
It's a disgraceful comment and if it came from a family member almost unforgivable in my view.

Sadly this is the result of the story not being told in its entirety. It causes speculation and doubt. If you are going to feed half a story then it’s not fair to feed it at all...it’s dangerous to all concerned.

Once again skirting around the fact the comment WAS STILL SAID though , why was it ok for a person close to harry (lets call it) to say that? .

It was still an awkward conversation with racist undertones.

Recollections vary, given Harry wont spit it out and his and Megs recollection vary on the issue...conversations versus once, interesting this divergence in their recollection was left in the edit by their friend, maybe she didn’t quite buy it either

And I truly believe exonorating Liz and Phil was an after though by their PR team as it wouldn’t reflect well on either of them with Phil in hospital to put them in the frame

Yes, it's something they had to say too in order to clear their minds of what's hurt them most.

Even the Queen has picked up on the 2 issues that are clearly the main issues.

To those determined to run them down only, whether they watched the full interview or not.
Nothing they say will alter their thinking.
So they're on a hiding to nothing with them I'm afraid.

They didn't name anyone, however as to the mental health issues, well that's likely all the institution of those who direct the Royal household and oversee Royal duty.
Those faceless individuals who would appear to have way too much power at the Palace, and who abuse it.

That rot in that institution of the less savoury staff and advisory teams there, needs shifting.

The race one, and it's a racist comment because it's only been said re Meghan but NOT directly to her from the person making it.
Which leaves it as a family member more likely.
I have my own thoughts but again, I'm not going to say who I would suspect of it.

To not understand when already in stressful situations that a then comment like this, as to how much that would pile then onto already felt stress.
Just because some don't like them, rather than try to step into their shoes and think how hard and hurtful that would be, preferring to look for the tiniest of holes or nitpick on all they say or do.
Is an extremely sad thing to see and read.

It's no wonder then that there's still people in turmoil while suffering mental stress or health who won't speak out for help.
Because they fear a reaction of disbelief, to have it dismissed as lying, or just scoffed at.
What a sad society it would be if all took that line.

I really don't think I want to read any more on this issue here.
It's depressing to see such a lack of even looking for empathy towards their issues, (Prince Harry and Meghan aside as to liking or not liking them), never mind having no empathy at all.
Yeah, depressing.

The Palace and Royal set up has it seems a destructive regime in place.
3 of 4 of the Queen's children have had marriages end in divorce.
Even the Queen's own Sister too

There's something radically wrong in a regime where such destruction of lives and minds seem maybe more commonplace than we even know.
Never mind the stresses of having to even try to cope with said stress.
Because you are expected to do your duty.
Shocking and like things out of the middle ages.

Harry exonerated himself from calling a colleague a P... saying they were friends and that it wasn't meant in malice or taken that way, maybe whoever he was chatting to felt the same way. Harry's views have changed on issues and he sees things differently, he said so himself recently , whoever said it to him and however it was said was not meant to offend I expect

Anyway we are going round in circles with this, enjoy your day GH

Netherlands viewer ratings for the interview 1.5 million people average, 2.6 million people total

a 4th place in the most viewer ratings of the day behind all of the news programs

YOUGOV Snap poll: post - interview, the public remain unsympathetic to Harry and Meghan

As the dust settles following the controversial royal interview, what do Britons make of the situation?
Prince Harry and Meghan’s tell-all interview with Orpah Winfrey was viewed by over 11 million Britons during its UK debut on Monday night, and now new YouGov polling for Sky News reveals public sentiment has shifted little compared to attitudes a week ago.
