The Eurovision Song Contest is going stateside as NBC secures the 'American Song Contest' - a co-production between Propagate and Universal Television Alternative Studio, a division of Universal Studio Group.

The show will feature live performances, representing all 50 states, 5 United States territories and the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C, competing to win the country's vote for the ‘Best Original Song’.

An incredible solo artist, duo, DJ or a band will represent each location performing an original song, celebrating the different styles and genres across America.

The live Contest consists of three rounds as the acts compete in a series of Qualifying Rounds, followed by Semi-Finals and the ultimate Grand Final where one state or territory will emerge victorious.
