A dog who ballooned to 10 stone after ‘munching on cakes and biscuits in secret’ has successfully lost 5 stone, according to her owner.

Philipa, 9, was given a ‘strict new diet’ which fortunately excluded the Jaffa cakes and Jammy Dodgers she had been stealing from her former owner’s biscuit drawer.

Her new owner, Mr Davies, a professional vet for over 30 years claimed Philipa’s achievement was ‘miraculous’

It has been said Philipa’s favourite sports include resevoir swimming and chasing balls.

Well that's good news to hear.

Whilst it can be good to give them the odd unhealthy treat (if the Dog likes the treat of course) the treat should never become apart of their staple diet.

It is said Philipa snuck into the treat cupboard herself as she was such a fan
