I think the difference this year is the lack of "controversy"

The racsism row remained in the papers and on the news right up until launch night of BB8, but obviously there's nothing like that this year.

The Star have already started this year with the wet room/naked Housemates story.

Last year they came up with:

April 21 - Housemates already being spied on at work and in the evenings

April 29 - BB8 to have "Saints and Sinners" theme.

May 9 - Two Housemates to get married for real in the House

May 12 - Secret tunnel leading to a reward room

May 13 - Housemate on test run asked to leave after only a few hours as it was so "terrifying"

It was May 16th when official details were announced. The Star's rumours never happened.

Well it keeps BB forums ticking over until the real info comes out.

The Star's greatest achievement was to run that front page headline on Shell being evicted midweek in the final week of BB5, when viewers had all seen Stu getting the Davina interview.

No, I don't think so, we may have had 1 or 2 daily star rumours but no news. Infact we didn't hear anything at all untill 14 days before I believe.

Rumours don't usually start until the end of April. We've already had a couple this year. It will probably be a bit quiet for another 4 or so weeks before we get anything proper.

Frankly it's best we get no real leaks until the Housemates are in hiding.

It's naff if they've seen pics of secret rooms before hand.

I'd say the first pics we'll get of anything to do with BB9 will be at the end of April. Probably construction pics. Before that, 'Proposed' eyes will be flooding in. As for run of the mill rumours, well. The Star is already at that. Give or take a few weeks and we'll be swimming in articles to do with Big Brother having a sex theme and secret tunnels and hatches everywhere.

I remember for BB7 they said they would have a cow in the garden and that would be there only source of milk hahahahaha!

Also there was meant to be a real gay wedding in the house for BB8
