They used to have test housemates to check things are working OK in the House.

So the House would need to be ready the week before.

A week from now a dozen nobodies will be preparing to make their debuts as minor celebrities.

Those of us with tickets will be getting ready to make our way to the studio and get an advance glimpse of what the rest of us will see on TV the following evening.

The numbers aren't exactly a major surprise but Virgin TV - who are carrying the series in Ireland - have a corporate sales page for advertising packages for the series where they confirm the exact number of episode runs, including live evictions:
