Default This series is excellent...

I hae to say that I think this series is excellent! Last years was beyond words and can never be beaten!

This series was always going to be seen as a bit crap because as i said nothing can beat Helen and Paul or Brian e.t.c.

I think the next series will seem better because we won't be comparing it to BB2 but to this one!

People are saying that they hate this series but i look at it that it's better than the first one! And is still great TV.

Does anyone agree (or at least understand as i fear i make no sense )

It's substandard. It's not not about the human interactions which made the first two series so great; it's about cheap stunts like the bars to get the tabloid headlines.

It's completely devoid of any depth and I'm having a lot of trouble maintaining interest.

I agree 100% Disco.

Sorry SJ but I don't think this series even rises to the level of mediocre, let alone excellent!!

Can't say that I've noticed.

I'm afraid I don't relate to any of them.

Sorry wildchild, I'm not being nasty and everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I just feel so let down by this series. I was looking forward to it so much and it is very disappointing.

I'm glad you're enjoying it though.

If I wasn't helping to run this site, I don't think I would be watching it anymore.

It is gut wrenchingly, mind numbingly awful. I am horribly disappointed.

It has caused me to reassess my opinion of all last years housemates. They are all princes amongst men in comparison to these jokers.

BB3 was described on one of the other message boards - BigBro3.com, I think - as the George Lazenby of Big Brothers.

That's a pretty apt description as far as I'm concerned.

The main problem is the housemates - They are all very Big Brother savvy, after two previous series, and are trying to act in a certain way. Maybe it will finally end up looking real towards the end, I don't know.

And also, let's face it, Endemol spoiled us with BB2. A hard act to follow.

Mind you, I'm still watching the show every night so they can't be doing everything wrong.

Good one James, although rather unfair to George Lazenby I feel.

It is the Sylvester McCoy of Big Brothers,

..........the Michael Portillo of Big Brothers

..........the OH NO I've stepped in something of Big Brothers

.........this woman is watching BB3.......

Despite the unseasonable June weather and massively increased security, another BB3 housemate makes a successful bid for freedom..........................

Hi,

I think the series has been very good so far, i like whats going on with kate and spencer, and also what happed today with sandy escaping was funny and cool and we have only had about 2 weeks and there is still a long time togo.

BB3 ROCKS :dance :

i like this series too. I mainly like it because I've become too involved in the Kate and Spencer thing, and I like Alison and Jonny.

I've also found people I hate with a passion, like Jade and Adele (aka the coven)

I didn't watch last years from the start, and i would say the characters as a whole were wider, more different, but some of the BB2 housemates I really disliked, as well as some of these ones i really dislike (Ahem JADE!) so I won't compare the contestants , because they are just different.

I watched most of BB1, and this series is much better. I just wish that they'd take the bars down after a few weeks - they will get really boring!

I'm sorry a lot of you aren't liking it, but (with all due respect) you won't find other Helens and Pauls, you'll find new characters. Whether you like them or not is your own perogative.

However I don't think this lot are any more boring - the main point is that big brother is refusing to give them any mini tasks, which it should.

This is part of the problem. There are occasional amusing bits and flashpoints, but there is nothing to sustain my interest - nothing that makes me want to tune in tomorrow. It's all far too staged.

I agree with Disco on the cheap stunts point.

Whilst last years one was expect the unexpected, there was no major changes to the main body of the show. Just the evictions.

The first eviction was a good idea with the public voting, but I couldn't vote because I didn't have enough time to get to know any of them.

The poor house is awful to watch, it's so grey and dull. It looks dreary, yet the housemates in that side are more interesting. The rich side have the dreary housemates, I can't bear to watch either of them.

I'm in a bit of a bad mood today so maybe tomorrow I'll change my mind.

I'm glad some people agreed with me, at least at this stage of the show. I like BB3 a lot and will not compare it to BB2.

Very, very wise Mervi!

I think it's an advantage not to have been carried away in rapture by the unfolding romance, and watching Helen on her daytime TV programme for months afterwards, dropping us little bits of gossip about what she and paul had been up to!

We were just hanging onto every bit of information, hoping they would stay together, get married etc (still waiting for that one . Mr Clarke still being ultra cautious...)

I think to be honest if the Angel Gabriel and all the heavenly host had been in BB3 I would have still resented them for being there! Even so, I didn't take to BB3. I think they were the first lot who really did know what they were letting themselves in for, and they certainly milked it for all it was worth. Jade, for instance tried so hard to be Helen Number 2, that even her mother said she looked just like her when she came out. ( I suppose they were both blonde and under 25, and er.........???)

I also resented the BB2 lot when they very first went in, because I had loved BB1, and I missed them when they all left for oh, a couple of weeks. Then I forgot them, more or less.

I tried not to watch BB2, but it was on in my son's house on Day 9 when I went to see him, and when I got home I found myself switching it on out of curiousity. Before I knew where I was , I was hooked.

BB4 I found much more watchable, but again, the characters were soon forgotten.

I am glad you are enjoying BB3 Mervi. Where are you now with it?

And by the way, sorry you are 'frustrated', cheer up!!
