Well you can more or less call people names, no one is going to be successfully sued over calling someone a prick or an arsehole or commenting that they find someone racist or sexist (though it's safer to stick to pointing out prejudiced comments, rather than making it something someone "is")...

...What you definitely can't do is throw around accusations of, for example, criminal activity or false allegations that could significantly damage someone's reputation - which branding someone a paedophile very clearly falls under. He's just an idiot really... trying to make a point and suggesting that "you said racist stuff" and "you're an actual paedophile" is in the same ballpark.
