They can not give it away Free
anymore.

[Subscribers will be required to pay for
additional members outside of their household,
although Disney is yet to confirm how
much this will cost.

This crackdown will begin in
'just a few countries' but will soon grow to
a full rollout in September.]

Most of the streaming services are going to get swallowed up, it's just untenable at the moment. They try advertising, but that was one of the main reasons people left network TV in the first place. No-one is prepared to invest in subscriptions to watch all the content on all streaming services. Also, it requires all your friendship circle to have the same subscriptions or people are just going to say, nope, not seen that, so shows lose out on word of mouth recommendation (free advertising).

My guess is they will start charging a re-connect fee to discourage people cancelling a sub and re-enlisting when their favourite series come back on.

For me, the only winners are the pirates

duh, sharing it outside your home with strangers is illegal, everyone knows that, its also plain stupid btw, with people you don't know

same how Netflix are against this as well

doesn't apply to us tbh, we don't share it with anyone outside our home, we have 2 profiles (one main profile for my parents, downstairs usage and i have my own profile, so i receive recommendations based on what i solely watch)

about time they started doing this anyway

Disney+ is my no.1 used streaming service for a long while now, am also still very happy with it, but then again i just widen my interests every now and then (if there is one thing i learned since the actors strike, to be respectful to all sorts of film, series out there)

Default The End of Disney+ Freeloading starts this June

I can live with a short 30 seconds advert or so at the start of each movie / episode

:::

How much does Disney Plus cost in the UK?

The cost of your Disney Plus subscription depends on the plan you've chosen. The Standard with Ads plan usually costs £4.99 a month. The Standard plan costs £7.99 a month or £79.90 a year, and the Premium plan costs £10.99 a month or £109.90 a year.

The only Show on there that looks like it'll be fun to watch is Renegade Nell.

Maybe Andor and Obi Wan at a push.

But I haven't even watched them three Shows, so maybe I'd dislike them too.
