Default Most anticipated Big Brother?

Hey there...

I was just wondering what series of Big Brother have you looked forward to the most? You know, before it started. I was pretty excited about Big Brother 8, but mainly because it was the first series I started watching after Big Brother 7, which I only started watching after half-way through. So after that, I had pretty high expectations.

Sorry if this topic has been done before.... I just thought it wold be fun to find out which series is/was the most anticipated.

I know Big Brother 9 is highly anticipated - because BB9 will be make or break for Big Brother

I think with every series I watch I anticipate it more and more.

For me BB5 was new, so I didn't have any anticipation. Could wait for BB6/7 like that too. Then BB8 rumours started in about March. Lived the whole build up until the eye and house pics were done.

The build up for Big Brother 6 was exciting after the success of Big Brother 5.

However Big Brother 6 never lived up to the expectations for being as good as the one before and so now I don't expect anything and I'm not disappointed if the series isn't as good as any previous one. Now I just see them as different.

Every Big Brother is anticipated as much as the last. Producers take risks every year, so every year is "make or break". Thats the trouble with a show like BB. Some will love it and some will hate it. You can never please 100% of the audience.

If I had to chose one series which I think had the most to prove it would be Big Brother 5.

I think BB8 is though not for me. For me it was CBB4 as there was so many brilliant names going through the rumor mill!

Every year the producers have pressure and goals to reach. I think Big Brother 5 had to be successful after the disaster of BB4. And the same story is on the road with Big Brother 9.

I have a good feeling about BB9, I think the producers have finally opened their eyes but its not really an exciting build up this time maybe because there aren't many rumours about or maybe because I actually have low expectations.

BB6 and CBB4 were my two favourite series', so naturally the build up to BB7 was the best for me, especially with the whole golden ticket thing.

I find that the build up differs from person to person based on your favourite series e.g. if your favourite series was BB5 then the build up to BB6 would be the best etc, but it probably won't meet your expectations following on from your favourite series.

BB5 was the one I was most excited about because of the whole Evil theme and we knew it would be very different from BB4.

But I've got big expectations for BB9 because BB8 was so bad and this series is really make or break for BB, so I'm hoping they've got lots of good stuff planned.

I've looked forward to BB5 the most. As an avid watched of the show since its inception and having the BB4 fiasco unfold before my eyes, I was quite dubious as to how the producers would revamp the show. With mysterious adverts, a remixed soundtrack, completely new house, new logo, and overall completely different aura, I can say without a doubt that BB5 was not only the most anticipated in the show's history, but the best that has ever been done.

I'd agree - probably BB5 as we knew changes were coming, something we all hope for this year but are still to have any real evidence of.

BB3 too probably - they had the big house move and rumours of new rules, plus a very successful BB2 which proved the series could be done again and again and again.

Ive never been soo excited for BB to start now, because if it does badly, it probably wont go because its Channel 4's highest rating programme but it wont have long left. Soo, I just want it to be great, just like BBCH was.

Probably BB5. I remember everytime I was on the bus I saw billboards saying "Black Friday" - it was so exciting! And it was a great series which lived up to the expectations. I was also really looking forward for BB7, because I LOVED BB6 - but it just did not deliver. I'm hoping BB9 is good though.

BB2/BB3 because they the first 3 were all fantastic and then probably BB6/BB8. Not expecting alot from BB9 the show has broken it's own rules now, I don't see it as ' Big Brother' anymore as I associate 1-4 with Big Brother. I just see it as another reality show now...don't get me wrong an amazing reality show but it's just not the same. It's lost it's spark.
