WHY? Why is this show called Britain's Got Talent? I'm watching a Japanese act right now. And they are rubbish, but that's by the by.

Every single year its the same, loads of auditions from abroad.

It's a misnomer. It should be British acts as the title clearly suggests.

It’s about talent that is in Britain, not British people have talent, watch songs of praise if you want to see all British people singing

Because the TV show is made & set in the UK , and the acts from overseas are still British citizens.

You could argue that with any 'Got Talent ' show from around the world,as they'll always be people originally from other countries.

MasterChef has gone the same way.

Like you would never get a Reality TV Show in America where half of the contestants aren't American, yet you can get pretty close to that on newer seasons of MasterChef UK.

I can't speak for BGT, but I can believe it.

And imo it's not racist for saying that most of the contestants in a UK edition should be from the UK, I mean how bigoted of us to use common sense, ain't that right Kate.

I mean it doesn't take much brain cells to watch certain Shows that I can think of.

lighthearted entertainment tv is exactly that, not something to overthink things



and tbh watching this show doesn't make you lose any brain cells, unlike watching Farage on GBNews

The only TV I've watched in TEN YEARS is Big Brother. Nothing else appeals to me. So the TV stays firmly OFF.

I'd never watch any of the sh**e that's made today.

The real reason is the show was for UK talent but now there are not enough acts so they have been forced to look and actively find acts from outside the UK

But it's not in Britain is it, its from Japan specially flown in. Amongst other entries from various places outside Britain. Don't tell me to go watch Songs of Praise. I expect the show to live up to its name. If there's not enough talent then scrap it.

I thought they were great though and tbh I would have rather watched that than another boring singer or a troupe of sub 9 year olds dancing and then screeching when they got through

as an aside I haven't really been following all the audition programmes but appartently Jordan and Henry are doing a google box reaction style on the spin off show

I remember when they first started out and they had a typo when spelling one of their guests name.

Exactly.

There's nothing wrong with having some foreign acts on any of these Shows (especially if they're really good) but also for variety in terms of contestants background.

However the majority of the contestants in any country should be what the majority of the population is, which in Britain that should be a mix of English, Scottish, and Welsh.

Because Japanese Anime has a sub community that loves that kind of content.

The Animes that I watch are honestly nothing like that, especially series such as Berserk, Death Note, Psycho-Pass, Black Lagoon, Ghost In The Shell: SAC, and Golden Kamuy.

Oh and Claymore and Ergo Proxy.
