As I understand right to buy won't help the young since they won't be the tenants anyhow to buy the property.

I think manifestos are largely irrelevant.
I've canvassed in elections since 2015.
I've yet to hear someone saying they had A manifesto or manifestos, never mind even read any.

It would seem that Sunak is doing what Corbyn did in 2019.
Throwing anything out there recklessly.

The tories and labour have committed to not raising taxes, so the only way they can meaningfully increase spending is through economic growth and that can't be significantly increased in 5 years. i don't honestly think it matters at this point

Labour or tory governments are both hamstrung before they start, so things will just go into a holding pattern for 5 years until the next election, by which time things may have changed, or more than likely, will just be as they are now. Global events are of far greater importance in the short and medium term, none of which we have any real influence over
