As it took off
[The pilot is the only survivor after a domestic plane carrying 19 people skidded off the runway and crashed while attempting to take off in Nepal.] https://news.sky.com/story/plane-cra...rport-13184082 Last edited by arista; 24-07-2024 at 08:10 AM. |

one of many plane crashes in Nepal
one of the most dangerous airports is Kathmandu honestly ----- cause of this crash, were the flaps extended? because this is scarily similar to Northwest Airlines 255 in detroit back in 1987 where the pilots failed to extend the flaps before takeoff, killing 154 people and only 1 survivor

flaps generate lift, they are crucial for takeoff and also crucial for landing

It'll be interesting to see if you're right about what happened here @Nicky91
Tragic loss of life though, hopefully the victims families are doing everything that they can to stay strong.

yeah i think i am right
Quote:
definitely makes me think of misconfiguration of the flaps, pilot error were the pilots rushing through their takeoff briefing? but Quote:
what the investigators need is the CVR if pilots mention extending flaps in their takeoff briefing or not
