The third series of The Traitors will launch on Wednesday 1 January from 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer.

This nail-biting, award winning, reality series, hosted by Claudia Winkleman returns on New Year's Day, as we welcome a new group of strangers to play the ultimate game of detection, backstabbing and trust, in the hope of winning up to £120,000. New series, and a whole new game. But who will make it through?

The Official visualised podcast The Traitors: Uncloaked, hosted by stand up comedian and presenter Ed Gamble, returns and will be available directly after every episode of the main show on BBC Two and iPlayer and an extended version with additional guests, further theories and essential analysis will be available on BBC Sounds.

For episodes 1 and 2, The Traitors will air at 8pm. From episode 3 onwards it will air at 9pm.

The show will air Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights, as per last series.

…oh, I just said the same in another thread……it will be interesting because season 2 didn’t disappoint at all but I think a big factor was the mother/son thing which we knew would be revealed …and you always had them both in an alliance obviously…I feel as though season 3 needs a ‘unique factor’ and it’ll be interesting to see if it has one and what it is…I’m so looking forward to seeing the three personalities that are chosen to Trait on the faithfuls…

It’s such a great format….as a faithful say too much you are seen as a threat…say too little you are deemed suspect…too clever you are a threat…
As a Traitor you know you are at some point going to be turned on by your fellow Traitor/s to protect themselves…

I just don’t know how I would play it…

…no there isn’t necessarily just one winner…(…I don’t want to say more and will stay a bit vague…)…just because it’s your first time watching and I think going into it with some reveals still to come will be the more exciting way for you…?…because I wasn’t sure the first season how it would pan out in the end so watching it all actually play is such a big part…also, no two season will probably play the same way……you’ll see and if you then catch up with other seasons after this one….

…I did fleetingly think about doing a sweepstake myself, actually…but I’m not sure that Traitors lends and leans to that just because it’s so fast paced in comparison to some reality shows…and we also have to see who the traitors are as well first…but that’s your call, really…
