Default Respect to Kemal

Kemal has some serious guts standing up to his entire religion on national TV.
The homophobic , intolerant nature of islam is something that has needed to be highlighted for some time now , and Kemal's done just that .

It's time muslims started changing their closed-minded hateful ways if they expect the rest of britain to tolerate them , they are the main source of racism , homophobia , and sexism in the world and this country today yet profess to be the biggest victims of it (boo-smeggin'-hoo).

BTW : My dads an arab muslims and me mother and I left him in my teens , so anyone about to call me racist needn't bother ....

I 100% respect your points and i think going to a school dominated by muslim pupils its about time its brought into the media spotlight i think even though i havent seen it yet kemal wouldve explained every point in detail and not left everyone guessing the homophobic nature of muslims isnt nice becuase all i hear around school these days is lets bang the gay kid up (this is not me) and i think its wrong they shouldnt be projecting violence to anyone straght bi or gay from Ryan xmwahx

It's become fasionable for lefties to defend muslims with every fibre of their being while chucking the rest of their PC morals down the shitter I'm afraid . Kemal and such like will bring about the change of attitude .

Kemal is brilliant. He is totally honest and real. I so respect him for that. He doesn't put up with the egos that people have around the house which are making things so fake.

I'm reserving judgement on Kemal so far. If his parents really weren't aware of his sexuality, then imagine what it was like for them to see their son, big grin on his face, almost mocking them, and shouting "well they do now". And if the muslims are as bad as the opening post on this thread suggests (although I seriously doubt that "they are the main source of racism , homophobia , and sexism in the world and this country today") then think of the difficulties his parents will be facing amongst their own community.

But equally, I don't know the back story or history, maybe he hates his parents, and is estranged from them, or whatever.

Hence why I am reserving judgement, cos he does seem like a decent, intelligent bloke as well. I just hope he doesn't go down the route of bitching about others a la Marco, cos he's seems to be fitting in nicely with Lesley and her bitching crew.

Not sure whether Kemal's rants will actually change muslim attitudes in the world. I wonder if Al-Qaeda tune into BB? From what i know i don't think many muslims want to change anything as its a very strong religion.Unlike the Bible that seems to get overlooked this day and age the Koran is gospel.

I also doubt that what he has to say will have any impact on the muslims of this country but I do respect him for standing up for what he believes in. I agree with the person who started this thread and only hope that now Kemal has made these statements that he is able to get on with his life when returning to his community but I doubt very much whether he will ever be accepted in a muslim community again.

I don't have much of an idea of the nature of Islam, (I am a Christian) but it seems it's more of an extreme religion after all Well done Kemal on speaking up

All I know mate is that if Kemal was living in Saudi Arabia he would be executed as homosexuality is punisheable by death (I **** you not) . The problem isn't so much islam as muslims taking the koran literally to the letter (a devout muslim is an extreme muslim in my view ).
I really hope Kemal isn't victimized when he gets out but sadly I think he will .

Oh well keep on dancin' brother .

Me too , which is why I can't stand religions that breed discrimmination .
Thats what I'm saying , they should treat others how they expect to be treated themselves . There's no special rule for devout muslims who hate certain people because their religion says they must , whilst everyone else must accept this. Equality is equality.

I completely agree, in a sense, it's taking away the whole right of freedom itself....You can't be who you want to be and have to cover something up and live a lie....surely that is worse?!

Spot on , Kemal is who is is . He was born gay , he is gay and no matter how much his parents want him to be different he will always be gay ...
Why pretend to be something your not? .... I never would , and certainly not for some stupid ancient prophet and his superstitious mumbo jumbo who most likely never existed (or was seriously screwed up on hallucinogenics ).

Thats why I'm glad my mum made sure I left with her rather than have my mind poisoned with my fathers hatred of "infidels" , and his views of female inferiority.
My mother raised me to respect people of all cultures and sexualities and let me choose what religion I followed (incidentally none) , my father would have made me a homophobic , racist , terrorist supporting monster .

I just find it the most bizarre thing how in life we are subjected and inflicted upon with such beliefs and oipnions that we must follow in line for, whatever happened to self-expression and belief?!

Religion is just odd....

Maybe it should be banned like nazism .Islam is as bad as nazism in more ways than one . I could give you a link to a site all about the dark nature of it but it'd probably freak you out too much .

You'd be suprised about the simularities between nazis and hardcore muslims :
They both hate jews , they both believe their people should rule the world , their ideology is one of global domination , they spread their beliefs with violence , neither allows it's followers to question it's set beliefs . The only difference is islams still around , and because it's a religion , nobody dare critisize it too much :

Check Out www.jihadwatch.org (and check out the bit on the left that says "why jihadwatch?") for a much better insight , I don't like talking about it , it's too scary and reminds me of my father too much.
