Default Ireland: Molly Malone statue has tits exposed

[Dublin City Council will deploy stewards
to deter people from groping a statue
of Irish folklore figure Molly Malone,
seen here, in the belief that it will
bring good luck]



[Dublin City Council have received complaints
about members of the public,
particularly tourists,
touching the Molly Malone statue,
said a spokesperson.

'Plans to repatinate (re-cover) parts of
the statue are in hand and
will occur in May, and this process has been
repeated over the years because of
repeated rubbing of the figure.
'Dublin City Council do not want anyone
to touch any work of art whether indoors
or outdoors to avoid damage and costly repairs.'

The statue, by the late Irish sculptor
Jeanne Rynhart, was unveiled on
Grafton Street in 1988 before
the construction of a tram line prompted
a move to Suffolk Street,
just over half a mile away, in 2014.

The council has not discounted the
possibility of relocating it once again,
and has also mooted the possibility
of rendering the bronze less
accessible by installing
a taller plinth or railings.]

Tbf you say "currently" but I've seen videos of this and it looked like an awful lot of boomers (mostly older blokes). With their hands on the boobs getting folk to take pictures. It's facebook-humour, let's face it. "lol boobiez". They'll be posting it on “Facebook reels".
