so just doing a quick bit of maths, 10,000 people have crossed the channel this year, if we take the average 2 bed flat and put 8 people in one, which is alot..., 10,000 2 bed flats would be required, yet we have no housing? so where are these properties going to magically appear from, if you are renting in any of the areas listed....beware

Interestingly enough where I used to live as I still have a nosy on Next Door, a block of flats was recently built, a rumour went around that it was to house asylum seekers, which was denounced, but now people are living in the apartments but they never went up for sale or rent...so it looks like this policy has already swung into action, I am not against it per se if it does work out as a cheaper option ....that said I think it will make properties even scarcer and more expensive

Cherie! You said 10,000 people and 8 per flat - that's 1,250 flats...

That said I'm not sure they would actually put 8 people in a two bed flat. But it would likely be 2000-3000 flats for 10000 people I would say.

The fact that people are falling for the same routine all over again is actually going past funny and into humiliating territory, the immigration problem has gotten far worse since Brexit, because we lost the right to work with our nearest neighbours and now people are going to trust the guy who was the face of brexit to fix the problem he helped cause because he wanted him and his rich mates and benefactors to avoid being held to stricter EU tax laws, it’s laughable
