Default When the series starts, I mostly miss the obsessive hype build up.

It’s sort of like your Birthday.

Your ubber excited but it never actually lives up to expectations.

Or perhaps all my birthdays have just sucked =(

I do agree but then normally the show is really good over the time it is on and so counter acts it
the launch seems to ruin the build up though because then everything is revealed and then you are left for a few days before it kicks in... its just the way it has to be!

I love the pre BB build up more than the actual show.

Living in the USA I don't get any hype at all. I just get a few articles online, a few rumors on the forums, then bam it starts.

For me, none of the launches have been disappointing. They have their own creativity and stuff.

I don't think the launches are disappointing - except for last years. Didn't like the all female house at all.
But yeh, the build up to launch night is the best thing about Big Bro.

i didnt mean the launches were bad but its the bit that breaks the excitement of the build up and its when we are in the series that it is in full swing

I think the same but i think that when there is something going on in the house e.g a task or an argument it is really really good

build up is tonnes better! I always end up not watching any much more than 2 - 3 shows a week more after halfway into a series. I think back to how good it was right at the start with all the speculation, a fresh, new theme, new look, new start and so many rumours! I think I've only watched BB5 and CBB4 fully

i never watch the whole series anyway. I mean my aunty is addicted, she'll watch it live. The housemates will be asleep and she'll be watching them sleep. It's quite creepy actually....

you can't have expectations that are too high or you will just get disappointed and turn off after a while - sometimes that happens to me when i watch a celebrity series coz all the celebs are **** at entertaining viewers and are z-listers anyway
