I am sure many people have shed many more tears as they wonder how they will heat their home or buy food

Agreed.

And Reeves is weak. Both in her job and today. She has to go, she's an embarrassment.

I saw her today and didn't recognise her. She'd aged about 30 years.

Unless one has a heart of stone it's hard to not feel some compassion for anyone having to sit in public in an upset state as Ms Reeves had to today.
Because she HAD to be there at Starmer's side today, for if she hadn't been the criticism and speculation would have been magnified even more.
Plus too, it isn't known the reason for her clearly well below par presence.
Was it professional or possibly personal.

That though, is where my ' yes but' now comes into play.
Ms Reeves has annoyed many people of Labour, backbenchers and particularly members.
She has infuriated myself and others by her dismissal of our opinions and even just by not being willing to entertain our opinions.

Politics was my hoped for dream, not now, no way.
I really dislike all parts of it and it's only going to get far, FAR worse in my view in the future.
The divisions it unnecessarily causes now, is detestable.
It's a poisoned strewn arena of nothing but nastiness.
Where even decent people going into it, are turned into more like programmed robots, not individuals with feelings and hopes of their own.

In my view, the top 2 positions in this government are filled with the wrong people.
Starmer is going nowhere in the time up to the next election but in my view, he'd have been a better Foreign Secretary, however NOT PM.
Sometimes until you are doing a job , it isn't realised the job is way too much.
That's where I think Ms Reeves is.
The task, the planning, the getting the balance right is too hard and too much for her.

However yes, I hate to see anyone upset as she clearly was today.
So I'm not going to gloat or celebrate it.

IF HOWEVER it ends up that someone has to end up going because of the problems in governing then it will be Ms Reeves to go I think.
The Treasury under her direction have demanded policies that just aren't in any way of a healing or unifying stance.

People really expect too much. The lady was obviously not ready to make an appearance today, and she shouldnt have been forced or felt obliged to have to do that. The level of entitlement from everyone is insane

The media would have gathered like a baying mob going all out even more to destroy her today had she not been in the Commons.
I agree with you in what you've said there however.

I'm not about to feel too sorry for her. She's made vulnerable people feel a lot worse, and even if she did lose her position as Chancellor, there's not a chance she'd be in the shoes of those she's crapped upon.
