Default Macron blames Starmer for Migrants Crossing

French President Emmanuel Macron is demanding Sir Keir Starmer makes it less appealing for Channel crossing migrants to make the perilous 21-mile journey to the UK, an Elysee Palace source has claimed.

Macron, who yesterday vowed to work with Britain to curb Channel crossings, hopes the Prime Minister will agree to a three-part ultimatum to alleviate the pressures facing both Dover and Calais

The French President is said to be putting pressure on Starmer to clampdown on illegal migrants exploiting the UK’s black market for labour and welfare payments.

He also wants Britain to make family reunification for genuine asylum seekers easier as conditions for the deal.

“These causes must also be addressed by the British,” an Elysee source told The Telegraph.

Speaking in the Palace of Westminster, Macron addressed the issue of migration and vowed to spearhead an Anglo-French response to deal with the “clear issue” of the crisis.

The French President, who also said Brexit is “deeply regrettable”, said: “France and the United Kingdom have a shared responsibility to address irregular migration with humanity, solidarity and fairness.”

Addressing MPs and peers, Macron promised France will finally adopt a "firm" approach to the small boats crisis.

It's not rocket science is it Sir Keir, if someone was offering me free bed, board, health care, dentistry, and a few quid in my pocket plus the opportunity to earn a few quid on the side I might get on a boat too The government are using taxpayer money to fill their mates hotels and give them cheap labour lets be real and the people suffering are pensioners and the disabled ...oh anyone working because taxes will rise in the Autumn....the hard working British person etc etc

Fifteen years ago I would be sitting in a friends kitchen having Ann argument with her about migrants and I would be defending the rights of migrants to a make better life for themselves in this country

But the world doesn’t stand still and now we are basically being invaded by illegal migrants who see us as easy prey

Add to the fact the government are saying they have no money and want to pick on the old and weak to grab back money
When they should be kicking the illegals straight back out

And when the Rwanda deal was be brought in the crossing fell dramatically

same but then the Tories stopped processing asylum claims so their mates could get rich and we stand now at about 100k claims and no one seems to be able to make inroads into it ...I wonder why

Is Macron trying to absolve himself from the issue that both countries have been facing?

Well to be fair, I doubt France much appreciates people using it as a bypass to get to the land of benefits.

A lot of the Immigrants also choose to stay there too.

Don't get me wrong, Starmer hasn't really got control over any of the Immigration problems that a lot of people have in the UK, but Macron should certainly not absolve himself of failing to stop the Illegal Immigrants from coming into his own country.

He largely doesn't care, because he knows the UK is becoming the world's dumping ground.

If every country controlled their borders in the first place, we wouldn't even have the migrant crisis.

Letting the downtrodden French prick say that about us on our own soil shows how weak and pathetic starmer has become.

Macron's right. If France offered migrants the golden handshakes we offer them, accommodation, food, healthcare and dentistry, pocket money, a phone, days out, ****ing driving lessons! Then the migrants would want to stay in France. But they don't offer them all that at the expense of the welfare, safety and financial security of the French people the way we do. I don't like agreeing with him, but I do.
