If you have to resort to personal insults, I'm afraid the mirror only reflects who is looking into it...

A couple of questions - have you watched the clip of them asking for donations and have you researched what the charity in question does?

Campaigning for fairness for trans women in women’s sports is one part of the many things that charity does - another aspect for example is ensuring lesbians (women) feel safe, included and supported in sports clubs. They do this because less than half of lesbians feel sports clubs are a welcoming, inclusive place and therefore 2/3rds lesbians who want to be active are taking part in non-sports physical actively. Part of their campaigning is to change that. Sounds great for women, right?

The woman at the end speaking about the donations didn’t ever specifically mention trans people in women’s sports. Yet here we are, talking about trans people again because the media told us they’re a problem.

Did you know a documentary was going to be made about men entering women’s sports teams and the producers found it so difficult and didn’t find any men to go through the 3 years of medical treatments that instead they made it a piece of fiction.

If a thing people are complaining about has to be created as a work of fiction, how much of an issue actually is it?
I agree with you that it's overly reported on, and I also agree with you that we have bigger enemies than Transwomen and illegal immigrants who sleep at Hotels.

It's called big business and the Government who want to divide people, whilst those two groups can get away with evil actions when nobody is looking.

But I'm going off what's being reported on this thread, which was that this group were trying to promote for Transwomen to be in Women's Sports, which I don't personally agree with, it's always been my main gripe with the Transwomen when they ever come up as a topic.

Otherwise I honestly would never really comment about them on here, but I don't want women in particular going into martial arts or Rugby games with Transwomen for very obvious biological reasons.

All I'm personally asking for from some of the Transwomen that think like this and to their allies, is to leave women's Sports alone.

And I hold that opinion regardless of the media's agenda, which I do agree that there is an agenda against Trans people from certain pieces of media.

To bring it back to the original topic which is the disrespect shown to Tracey Edwards by some of the cast you can see the video here

Still nothing mentioned about trans people specifically…just about building an inclusive, active and equal world through an LGBTQ+ charity who campaigns for men, women and trans people.

Inaccurate thread title. I am thinking:

Young woman criticised for charity drive that aims to make sport a more enjoyable place for men, women and trans people alike.

I took this video. The reason I started filming was because we’d heard a
rumour that the cast might present Tracy with flowers at the end and I
wanted to capture it for her. This spiteful taunt was a very sour end to what
had been a lovely show celebrating a great woman and her crew. 🤬 Shame
on the woman who made the announcement and importantly the cowards
who supported this insult.

There is no need to mention LGBTQ at all, just make an announcement that you are collecting for womens sport, why specifically single out LGBTQ, lesbians aren't disadvantaged in womens sport are they?

Jill Scott
Martina Navratilova
Nicola Adams
Half the womens England football and Rugby team say hi

There are more than five gay players in the England Lionesses team, including Rachel Daly, Lauren Hemo, and Jess Carter. The team has a well-balanced mix of players, and while the exact number of LGBTQ+ players is not specified, the representation is notable in women's football.

Sports teams can be an intimidating scenario for many people, but particularly for LGBT people. It's not playing the sport, it's finding the accessibly sport in which you feel safe.
  • Over half of lesbians think sports teams are not very inclusive.
  • Lesbians are more likely than other LGBT+ groups to identify cost as a barrier to joining a team.
  • Only 39% of lesbians are choosing to participate in traditional team sports
  • Bisexual women are more likely than other LGBT+ groups to see self-consciousness, cliquey teams and a lack of time as barriers to team sports.
  • only 38% of bisexual women agree that sport is a very inclusive activity.

There is something major that has been overlooked in all of this - probably because anyone ranting about this has done little to no research before having their opinion - is that while Pride Sports will to an extent be fighting against banning trans women from joining women sports, one of their main aims as a charity is to help help promote and work with teams specifically for trans women (and other LGBT people), as well as all-inclusive teams where members can be gay, lesbian, bi, straight, man, woman or trans. They literally promote and help what all of you ask for: teams for trans people separate to that of women-only teams.

This is an amazing thing for sport and an amazing thing for people who find it difficult to get into sport because they worry their sexuality or gender identity will be a blocker.

To pretend all they do and all that 10 second request for donations is centred around is getting trans women into women's sports team is not just disingenuous, it's a lie. The spin on this story is fake, and it's fuelled by hateful manipulation by the media. Congrats.

Could you link the source because the reality seems to be a bit different from a poll, is it the Pink News?

Dragging it back to the topic in hand once again

Ms Edwards has been public with her opposition to the inclusion of transgender women – biological males – in women’s competitions and changing rooms.

I think the agenda was very clear here

You said in the he same post that they want trans women in women's sport? If it was about a separate league for transwomen I wouldn't have an issue at all. I would actively fight alongside the activists actually. It's only when it's womens sports/spaces being invaded that I have an issue.

It's stayed on topic. They were collecting for a charity which works with all-inclusive and LGBT sports teams to create safe, welcoming environments for LGBT who want to play sports. The kind of sports teams you specifically ask for.

Yet it's still a problem, and just about trans people, and just about trans women entering into women's sports - even though that was never mentioned - because, well because the Telegraph told you it was.

I said they of course will speak against banning trans women from women's sports but they also help and work with teams that welcome and are created specifically for trans people, or LGBTQ+ people.

They deliver what you ask, yet it's an issue because you fixate on their opinion on one topic.

So you don't think Ms Edwards gender critical views had any impact on the decision for this statement at the end of the show...yes or no?

As far as I can see The Telegraph are reporting the facts backed up by video evidence and Ms Edwards thoughts on this issue ....not sure what has been manufactured here

Hardly deliver what I ask if they fight against female sport being female only?

As I said, if fighting for trans teams etc then great. I don't see why they would fight for both trans teams AND access to female teams tho.

BTW I would welcome a separate category for transsports, it would particularly benefit transmen who basically cannot compete

Time the community started fighting for this instead of trying to piggy back off womens hard fought rights

The video evidence that makes no mention of trans people entering women's sports yet the whole article is about that

Sailor attacks musical about her life after actors hijack ending with trans protest - that is not a fact.

If you cannot see the bias within the article and the insincere framing then you are lost down a rabbit hole.

The performers may have been making a point, who knows. All I know is the actual facts: at the end of a play about sports, an actor decides to inform the audience they are welcome to donate to a charity that spearheads inclusive sports teams aimed at a demographic who often find joining sports teams more intimidating or more difficult than most.

Was that said in the video?

I already said the charity speak about out that, but they also do many other things. Have you even been on their website? Their main content is promoting LGBT sports teams
